I just had it bleached for the first time and toner applied two days ago. How soon should I put toner in it again?

Ive heard so much about blue-toner shampoos to reduce brassiness in lightened hair, but other than shimmer lights by clairol (about which i can only find reviews by people with grey hair), I havent heard any brands mentioned. I’ve bleached my hair so that I could dye it blue-ish green. I’ve been doing this for years. I’ve always used a toner after bleaching and before dying it the blue-ish green. But is that really necessary? If I plan on dying it afterward anyway do I really need to use a toner to get rid of the copper/yellow tones? Or is toner only really needed when you plan on bleaching blonde and staying blonde?

I bought a hair toner for my brassy blonde hair and I want to make sure I do it right.
Is this what you do?

1)dye hair normally
2)after hair dye is washed out spread toner on your hair
3)leave on for 15 minutes
4)rinse

Is this right? Am I missing steps?

Yesterday I got some light brown highlights in my dark brown hair. The problem is, I chose a toner that is too dark so the highlights are barely noticable. I know after several shampoos the highlights should pop out a bit more, but is there a way to accelerate this?

I’m 14, and I cleanse and moisturize my face daily. I also exfoliate every 4 days Do I need to start using a toner? And could you recommend really gentle, safe toners without alcohol? I have combination/oily skin, if that helps.
Or you could suggest an astrigent (or w.e. its called) if it better suits my skin tone.
